    WARREN CARIOU

    CariouWarren Cariou has written fiction and nonfiction about his home community in northwestern Saskatchewan, including Lake of the Prairies, which won the Drainie-Taylor Prize and was nominated for several other prizes. He teaches Aboriginal literature at the University of Manitoba where he also directs the Centre for Creative Writing and Oral Culture.

    Giles Benaway at Glad Day Bookshop

    Join poet Giles Benaway at Glad Day Bookshop in Toronto on Friday May 31st, 6-9 p.m., to celebrate the release of Ceremonies for the Dead.  Giles will perform a reading from his book, followed by a reception where visitors will have the chance to purchase a signed copy.

    Glad Day Bookshop is located at 598A Yonge St., near Yonge and Wellesley.
