The first words of an infrequent blogger
How’s it going? As anyone who has visited my facebook page knows, I don’t use the Internet all that damn often. I live way out in the sticks, and web access is few and far between for me. As it is, I pretty much live like a Luddite, and I am not electronically inclined any any way. (Give me a 79 T-Bird with a busted carb, though, then I’m your guy). Computers have never really been my forte. They are to me like a fork: I use them when I need to, clean them when they’re dirty, and when they break, I destroy them with a hammer and make jewelery out of the pieces. Video games interest me not, and the last one I can remember playing was an X-Files pinball machine in Hanna, Alberta while waiting for the greyhound bus.
I am grateful for the soapbox, however, and I promise to use it when I can.
I have recently finished my first novel (writing, not reading), and I am still trying like hell to find a home for my second poetry collection. In between it all, I’m trying my best to be dad to my three year old daughter and my 17 month old triplets.
So, check in now and then for a new blurb from me, but try really hard not to hold your breath. I will blog when I can, if I can!
Keep on Rcokin’ in the Free World,
John
